Nurses Share Knowledge at 2025 Display and Exhibit Contest
Medical staff and members of the public packed the Magnolia Rooms of the Education Building Thursday, Aug. 14, to learn about the important work nurses and other medical professionals do during the second annual Display and Exhibit Contest.
Medical staff, mainly consisting of Registered Nurses IV and V, put together elaborate trifold poster board displays addressing such topics as efforts to promote correct disposal of sharps, creation of an escape room activity to train NICU nurses on neonatal resuscitation, and best practices for collecting blood cultures.
There were roughly 24 exhibits, up from about 12 last year, according to Executive Director of Nursing Deborah Brehm.
Brehm said this year, organizers decided to do the event at the same time as the RUHS Farmers Market, allowing them to capitalize on some of the traffic from that event.
Brehm said she looks forward to growing the event even more next year, hopefully drawing in medical professionals from departments outside of nursing.
