Drill Lets Nurses, Residents Practice Lifesaving Skills

This week, OB nurses and Anesthesia residents participated in an annual training in the simulation labs at the Education Building.

Participants attended three rotating stations where they reviewed and participated in the necessary life-saving procedures for emergency OB situations, including respiratory distress, hypotension/cardiac arrest and uncontrolled bleeding.

The event concluded with an emergency patient resuscitation exercise to practice teamwork, crash cart defibrillator systems, and CPR procedures.
