Future of Medi-Cal Commission Visits Wellness Village

RUHS recently welcomed The Future of Medi-Cal Commission for a site tour of the Wellness Village, RUHS’ newest healthcare facility in Mead Valley.

Upon completion later this year, the Wellness Village will serve as a central hub for comprehensive care. Following a whole-person healthcare approach, the campus is designed to seamlessly integrate behavioral health treatment, medical care and social services in one primary location. The 18-acre campus will feature temporary supportive housing, treatment services for children, families and adults, a pharmacy, educational facilities and a public market and cafe.

The goal of The Future of Medi-Cal Commission is to develop strategies that strengthen California’s Medi-Cal program to continue to meet the healthcare needs of communities throughout the state over the next decade. During the visit, commission members and Riverside County representatives were able to see the construction progress and learn how Riverside County is working to integrate healthcare and social services to better serve the region.
